Moscow Fire Station No. 3

Moscow, Idaho

The City of Moscow desired a new fire station to house both city and rural fire department apparatus as well as house the volunteer fire department residents. This 11,000 s.f. facility includes residence dorms for 10 personnel, kitchen / dayroom, exercise room, training room, conference room and fire department administration offices.

The Apparatus Bay is designed to accommodate 6 fire station apparatus, turn-out gear storage and a decontamination area. The extremely efficient floor plan design assisted in maintaining three key fire district issues: reduce turn-out times, accommodate site constraints and control costs.

The building exterior was scaled to compliment the nearby residential community as well as provide an aesthetically dynamic design in which both the City of Moscow and the community will enjoy.
