CKA has truly created a community hub for the resort community of Ketchum. Meeting the desires of the city's design review committee and USPS design standards, CKA developed a design which is monumental in appearance while at the same time reflects local resort vernacular architecture.
Extensive efforts were made to fit the new facility on a difficult site located within the downtown core, a high priority for the city. CKA provided numerous site and facility studies to ensure the needs of the program, community and budget were maintained. This effort and attention to detail resulted in a completed project that met all design, scheduling and cost requirements.
Special features of the facility include a concrete tile “cold roof” system and glycol snow melt system. Materials used include brick, cultured stone, peeled log framing, custom steelwork and ground face CMU.
