Construction has just been completed on the new K-3 elementary school for Fruitland School District in southern Idaho. CKA has worked with the rapidly growing school district for three years. We completed feasibility studies for new school facilities and then followed up with assistance in selling the bond levy to the patrons. The bond levy was passed in the spring of 2005.
The 75,000 s.f. school is the new home of a rapidly growing student population of kindergarten through third graders. The plan features a secure playground area located in a courtyard for the smaller children, an easy community access to the gymnasium, media center and multi-purpose rooms. The kitchen facility will become the main kitchen for the school district and includes a full service bake shop for all the district baking needs. The mechanical system has been designed for easy individual classroom control, providing flexibility and an easy to maintain system.
