IPC — Outpatient Surgical Center

Lewiston, Idaho

Construction is complete on a new Pain Clinic and Surgical Center in the Port of Lewiston's new business and technology park. It was the first facility constructed along Juniper Drive, a road constructed in part with funds received from grant dollars used to stimulate growth in the LC valley with the creation of the new business and technology park.

This 10,800 s.f. facility houses two separate businesses, a Pain Clinic and an Outpatient Surgical Center. The surgical center supports two fully operational surgery rooms, including specialized requirements with building finishes, medical gas, electrical power and alarm systems and an emergency power generator.

The facility was constructed on a challenging site. We used the steep slope along the northern boundary of the site as an attribute in the site and building design rather than an obstacle. The colors and textures of the CMU and stone veneer finishes of the building were chose from a palette of natural colors from the exposed native rock found in the new development.
