Boubel Residence

Asotin, Washington

The outstanding view seen from the home site located high above the Snake River between Asotin and Clarkston Washington dictated much of the organizational decisions of the design for the new home of Dr. Tom and Vicky Boubel. Ten miles of river view can be seen from the two priority rooms in the house - the living room on the main floor and the master suite on the second floor. Dining room, kitchen, craft room and study also take advantage of the river view to the north.

The main floor plan was designed with entertaining in mind. Visitors that are introduced to the house will notice it was designed with an Arts and Crafts flavor, highlighted by stained, exposed structural beams providing defining order to the vaulted ceiling spaces.

Rich, stained cherry wood accentuates extensive wood detailing throughout the house, including the main stairway, fireplace surrounds, and door and window trim. Extensive tile floors throughout provide a durable, yet inviting path through the residence.
